Despite being a franchise, this is a breakfast favorite. First Watch offers traditional and healthy breakfast, brunch, and lunch fare. The décor is plain but bright and airy too. It looks like a chain.
If you're super healthy or persnickety, visit the website before going to view the nutritional information. The menu is diverse. Highlights include multigrain pancakes along with other "flavors" such as wheat germ, banana granola crunch, and chocolate chip. Crepes, Belgian waffles, French toast and all sorts of egg dishes will please hearty eaters. Breakfast burritos, omelets every which way, skillet hashes, AND a menu section devoted to the "healthier side" attracts the crowds. Healthier items include the Tri-athlete omelet with egg whites, roasted mushrooms, green chiles & tomatoes. The Power Wrap boasts egg whites and turkey, and on the sweeter side, there is an Energy Bowl with granola or muesli topped with fresh fruit, cinnamon and low-fat yogurt. We like the sides selection too. And there is a separate lunch menu too. Big salads, burgers (veggie, beef, turkey), soups and sandwiches are offered.
