Mitchell's Steakhouse is conveniently located right downtown and the menu's breadth affords both sensible and hearty options. Additionally, for those in search of a business dining venue, Mitchell's classic and masculine décor delivers with its soaring ceilings, deep woods and white linens. It is upscale, classic and elegant.
The raw bar affords a number of fresh seafood options such as jumbo shrimp, crab legs and chilled lobster. The dinner starters are mostly hearty but the colossal shrimp cocktail and tuna tartar are sensible. Other starters include crab cakes, calamari and, seared Kobe beef. The dinner starter salads are weak on veggies, so look to the side dishes for real green. Other appealing eats include the King salmon steak, block cut tuna with wasabi, and the sea bass. Of course, veal, steak, stuffed chicken and lamb will satisfy bigger eaters. Steakhouse sides area always plentiful and Mitchell's does not disappoint with its ample selection of veggies and potatoes--just be sure to request no butter! The lunch menu also includes the raw bar items and starters, but adds a number of lunch specialties such as entrée salads (chopped chicken, blackened salmon, sesame tuna, Caesar), sandwiches and smaller entrée selections. Carnivores can still order the steaks!
