While we always prefer more "standardized" styles of yoga such as Bikram and CorePower, this studio is somewhat convenient for those staying downtown (5-7 miles) and very convenient if you are near OSU. Yoga on High offers various levels of classes in order to give you a well-rounded workout. Hatha, Hot Flow (80-86F), Ashtanga and other styles are offered. Classes are 60, 75 and 90 minutes in duration.
Their practice space is clean and uncluttered with beautiful wood floors, a neutral palette and tall windows for plenty of natural light. The changing areas provide plenty of space for prepping before class and storing belongings, and there is one shower available for freshening up after class, if necessary.
The studio is located in the Grandview neighborhood, near the Ohio State Univeristy campus and only 7 miles from our featured downtown hotels. It's mainly street parking here and it tends to get quite busy, so be sure to leave yourself extra time for circling the block.
A single class is $20 for first timers. Be sure to tell the teacher or front desk assistant that you are just visiting, as they don't charge visitors for mat rentals. Otherwise you'll pay $2 for mat rentals and $1 for hand towel rentals. Various refreshments are available for around $2-$3.
Since this studio offers a variety of class levels, we suggest checking their website for detailed schedule information. Generally there are 4-5 classes offered each weekday with the earliest beginnign at 6a and the latest at 7:30p. There are 3-4 classes offered on weekends.
