Also connected to the Indiana Convention Center via skybridge, Westin neighbors the Marriott in the hub of downtown Indianapolis. As another high-rise business-themed accommodation, the 573 modern and tastefully-decorated rooms come equipped with the hotel's signature Heavenly Beds and Heavenly Baths. Sleep-deprived guests should expect a night full of zzz's on Westin's high thread-count, pillow top, down-stuffed dream creations. And shower soakers will enjoy some relaxing wet time with the double-head sprayers. Room service is 24-hours/day and so is access to the fitness center. Other room amenities include a mini fridge, coffeemaker and internet access (fee applies.)
Westin allocated two small rooms for traveling athletes to sweat and muscle pump. Life Fitness is the brand of choice and there is plenty of it. Weight lifters have a handful of stack loaded machines, multi-gym and dumbbell set. Lap swimmers must head offsite.
Westin is on the cusp of walking distance to these off-site workout options--plan on 15-minutes. NIFS and the Natatorium have ample parking, so driving might be the preferred option, especially in the winter months. While Westin's accommodations are more luxurious than Marriott's, its inferior gym and extra 5-minute walking distance to Indy's spectacular off-site workout options garner it the Bronze.
Joggers should also consider an outdoor run along our recommended White River route.
