Gaucho Grill (Canary Wharf)

29 Westferry Circus
London E14 8RR

Area: London, UK

Located right on the river, the views are very good and the ambiance is chic and upscale, though not as stylish as the Tower Bridge location. Gaucho is a good pick for a business meal and/or special occasion. When the weather cooperates there is a terrace for outdoor dining. And nothing gets our Athletic-Minded juices flowing like a menu that features various ceviches! Along with fresh fish, Gaucho's Latin American flavors extend to meats, grilled chicken and seafood and even burgers. Argentine beef is a specialty here and can be ordered in 3 sizes. Also, the bar has its own menu, perfect for those on their own.

With 6 ceviche selections (tiger prawns, salmon, lobster & shrimp, monkfish and merluza), as well as a yummy grilled seafood platter, healthy eaters should consider pairing one of these fresh fish creations with a small salad and/or other appetizer or extra veggie side dish. For those looking to indulge a little more, the appetizers also include empanadas and sausages. In terms of main courses, there are various cuts of beef (and burgers), a half boneless chicken with adobo flavors, marinated Asian style monkfish, whole grilled seabass, roasted organic salmon with capers and olives, a unique fish soup and a vegetarian friendly mushroom tart. For the steaks, diners have the choice of 6 sauces, and there are a dozen sides to choose from including grilled veggies, grilled mushrooms, tomato and onions, baked potato, and sauteed green beans. Highlights from the bar menu include chicken and salmon skewers, burgers, vegetarian crostini, grilled chicken salad, steak sandwich and a mushroom and artichoke flatbread.
