This unique studio holds classes at Notting Hill Prep -- opposite the main school. Look for the little wooden gate on the north side of Lancaster road between the Lancaster Youth Center and house number 130 to the left. There will be a Hotpod Yoga sign on the pavement next to the gate. Phew. Once you have found it, your fun can begin! Upon entering, a HotPod employee will be next to the gate to greet you. Keep walking down to the sports hall on the left. Keep in mind that there are no changing rooms nor showers, so be prepared to leave a little sweaty.
Hotpod Yoga offers a unique spin on hot Vinyasa Yoga. Vinyasa classes are given inside of their signature “pods”: inflatable, heated yoga studios (37 C, 99 F) that can accommodate up to 20 people. The pods sport hygienic wood flooring and purple lighting and help yogis get an intense full body workout. The Vinyasa Flow classes incorporate intensity and balance that allow clients to find mental clarity, and leave the studio ready to take on the rest of their day.
A single class is £12.00; classes are usually one hour in length. Booking online is a must in order to register for a class. Bring a towel and water as rentals are not available.
Classes are offered M-W 7p, 8:15p; Sa 9a, 10:15a; Su 10a, 11:15a. Check online or call to ensure class times. Days and times of classes offered at the Notting Hill Location vary often.
ABOUT THE YOGA
The yoga practiced at HotPod is a unique spin on Vinyasa flow. Vinyasa yoga is known for creating a stronger link between breath and movement. Vinyasa sequences often include some sort of sun salutation and levels range from beginner to intermediate. The HotPod Yoga studios are also heated to a lower temperature (approx 99 F) than Bikram Yoga studios. Although still warm, yogis will not be practicing in intense 40.6 degree Celcius heat (105F).
