Intercontinental hotels are known for their upscale lodging experience and this location is a good representative for the reliable luxury hotel chain. Located on the southeast corner of Hyde Park's soothing green space that includes meandering jogging and horse riding paths, this Intercontinental's Knitsbridge location benefits are plentiful. While this corner of Hyde Park is not surrounded by as many shops, restaurants and retailers as you'll find on the northeast edge, the hotel is within a block of the nearest Tube Stop (Hyde Park Corner) and is about 5-10 minutes walk of neighboring Knightsbridge's commercial district.

All 447 rooms are conservative cream-toned with striped wallpaper décor that won't wow you. The entry-level accommodations are somewhat narrow but, the premium bedding is very comfortable, the quarters are quiet, and service is very good.

Intercontinental's 24/7 gym is a winner. Located on the first floor,new Life Fitness cardio machines are stocked along with four stack-loaded weight stations and a generous dumbbell set. The space's ambiance motivates with welcoming dark-toned wooden floors and practical lighting. Our only gripe is that some of the machines are positioned close together, not an issue if the place is not crowded. Don't forget to hit the spa and reward your healthy lifestyle with a professional rub down or salon service.

Runners will be much happier with a jog through Hyde Park. Check it out!

Swimmers will have to look at our off-site options as Intercontinental does not offer a lap pool. The closest option is Virgin Active Mayfair.
