This property offers one of the best hotel gym and fitness experiences in London. Carlton Tower's 216 rooms are attractively designed and decorated with contemporary furnishings and uplifting tones. However, the entry level guest quarters are VERY small; some of the smallest in the city for a luxury hotel. Ranging from 162-183 square feet (15 to 17 square meters), these abodes will make clusterphobics cringe. You should seriously consider shelling out a few more Pounds for a "deluxe" room. This upgrade will at least give you a tad more living space (193-226 square feet).
The 9th floor Peak Health Club is a rare treat for athletic-minded travelers. A plethora of top notch cardio machines and strength equipment is organized inside an open and airy space with phenomenal natural light and fantastic views. Like the rooms, the gym is far from huge, but the workout areas are packed with the goods we like. Swimmers are treated just as royally with a 3-lane, 20-meter lapper on the hotel's 2nd floor. Kickboards and a pace clock will help with a water workout.
Joggers should remember that Carlton's location is not far from Hyde Park, about 10 minutes on foot. There you will find wonderful paved paths and not have to worry about traffic.
