The Westin Grand plays host to this fine dining restaurant that offers an eclectic and modern menu. The cool and contemporary dining room features soft beige chairs, white linens, hardwood floors, abstract artwork and stylish fixtures. The restaurant appeals to the business crowd and the menu appropriately reflects this audience with breakfast and lunch offerings that are guaranteed to be ready quickly. The menu rotates frequently but there are always a few lower fat and lower carb options. The lunch menu offers more light fare.
Start your day with cereals, fruit, granola, yogurt, oatmeal and/or an egg white omelet by request. Or, go for broke with the Belgian waffle, maple pecan buckwheat griddlecakes, French toast, or the power breakfast omelet with a dozen ingredients including andouille sausage, smoked salmon, crab, spinach, onions, peppers and more.
At lunch soups and 3 basic salads (Greek, wedge, Caesar) are on the menu and have the option of grilled chicken, seared tuna, steak or shrimp. It's not the best showing in terms of roughage. Fish tacos, pizzas, and burgers are other eats. Dinner is more gourmet with richer preparations. Typically there is at least one or two lighter appetizers (such as ahi tartar or marinated shrimp), several starter salads (including a arugula and baby spinach) and seafood entrées that are more simply prepared such as a recent honey seared salmon. The lighter dishes also include lighter accompaniments. Other entrées include "crusted" fish, pork chops, rack of lamb, veal, NY strip and filet mignon. Veggie eaters will appreciate the a la carte grilled asparagus, roasted mushrooms and sauteed spinach.
