This upscale casual eatery has an African theme inspired by Disney's The Lion King with white bird sculptures flying overhead, dark brown tones and wait staff dressed accordingly. While the cuisine is inspired by the 52 countries of Africa, it's fairly straightforward with the highlights being a strong vegetarian selection and grilled preparations via the wood burning ovens in the open kitchen.
Vegetarian starters include the lentil filled phyllo pockets, maize pudding with sweet potato mash and a veggie flatbread. On the entrée side, there is the "grains, peas and veggies" which includes tandori tofu. There are typically additional vegetarian selections as well. Other sensible dinner menu items are the marinated ahi tuna, starter salads, wood grilled pork tenderloin, seared jumbo scallops, Malay shrimp curry and the broiled wild salmon.
