One of the top big box chain health clubs in the U.S. Expect to find all the bells and whistles here--strength, cardio, classes, and shower/locker facilities. Large facility with a main floor and balcony. Plenty of space between machines. There's a four-lane 25-yard lapper if you're so inclined.
This place is open nearly 24 hours a day. With a 66,000 square foot faciltiy, Fitness CF has a cardio equipment floor, free weights, machines, spinning classes, and two studios for additional group exercise.
20+-mile paved path that is great for cycling, in-line skating or jogging. It's wide, mostly flat and scenic.
And don't worry if you don't have the equipment to take advantage of this mostly flat trail, because our Gear Up listing, West Orange Trail Bikes and Blades has you covered! And this bike rental shop is located at Mile 0 (Killarney Station) of the 20 mile path! How's that for convenience!!
There are several access points:
Killarney Station:
This is a power yoga studio with Baron Baptiste inspired vinyasa classes. The room will be warm, but not hot like a Bikram studio. The studio offers a range of classes from beginner style to sweat inducing workouts.
This studio is located in the west part of the city. The practice space has wood floors, bright lights and a wall of windows. There are showers (3 in the women's) and lockers for personal items. The studio also offers a variety of massage services.
We love seeing "Aquatic" in a facility's name because it almost always means a top-notch swim venue. Happily, this theory holds true here. If this Y is good enough for the U.S.A. Junior National Competitions, it should be good enough for you, right?
This Y is typically jammed with members during its rush hours (6am-8am, 4:30pm-7:30pm), which is not too surprising because it is a phenomenal, full-service fitness center. Unfortunately, no hotels are within walking distance, so you need wheels to get here.
One of Orlando's esteemed private schools, Lake Highland possesses excellent athletic facilities. The trick is trying to figure out if and when you can get in or on them. Unfortunately, the aquatics department is terrible at returning phone calls, so we were unable to confirm the cost to swim.
Flat road running that encircles two small lakes, Lake Eola and Lake Highland. There is also a 400-meter track and lap pool at Lake Highland School.
* Our mileage Starts/Finishes on the South side of Lake Eola at E. Central Blvd., but pick up the route anywhere along the way
