While this Sicilian gem is tucked-away in Pittsburgh's South Side district, make the effort to find the long-standing neighborhood favorite. The atmosphere is intimate with dim lighting and dark woods. But keep in mind that "intimate" is also code for smaller. Both the dining and bar areas can get a bit "tight".

The menu changes frequently but fresh seafood is the focus here. Count on a plentiful list of starters/small plates for light eaters with fish and land options alike. Recent examples included sword fish carpaccio with micro greens, grilled calamari, caprese salad, and a cheese and cured meat plate. The nightly menu boasts a selection of roughly ten meat, fish, and pasta entrées. Sample entrées include grass-fed rib eye, grilled wild Virginia striped bass served with warm black lentils and sea asparagus, and a mushroom tagliatelle. Saffron risotto and grilled veggies are also offered a la carte.

Open for dinner only Tues-Sat beginning at 5p. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
