This Hilton underwent renovations and is now worthy of our recommendation. Although rooms are conservatively adorned in blue tones and cherry-wood furnishings, guests will certainly appreciate the hotel's new "Serenity" beds that feature 250 thread count sheets and down comforters, complimentary wired and wireless internet access, alarm clocks with iPod and other MP3 plug-ins, and 6:30 am to 11:00 pm room service. You may even want to watch a favorite sports team one one of the 15 televisions inside Hilton's Blue Sports Bar. Starbucks coffee products are prepared and served from a lobby café as well.
Along with room and common area upgrades, Hilton also renovated its in-house gym. We give them high marks on the cardio selection: good treads, ellipticals and bikes, but strength fiends will likely be disappointed without any weight stations (only dumbbells and kettlebells are offered). Still, for a night or two away from your home health club, this sweat space should get you by.
If you're looking for more, grab a cab or take the rental car to Levin JCC. Four short miles away sits a haven of exercise equipment and an outdoor 5-lane lap pool. For $10/day (three days max), guests are welcome to use this wonderful and secluded facility.
