This Marriott owned property was recently built and it still smells and looks new. Located several blocks from Fitness Connection and the nearby Sheraton, Springhill Suites is an appealing budget-minded choice for travelers desiring a Research Triangle area abode.
All 120 rooms are spaciously designed with separate sitting and sleeping areas. Free high-speed wired internet access is available, as well as free local and 800 calls. Our favorite freebie, however, is the daily breakfast with both hot and cold items.
We wish Springhill would offer one more comp, a free pass to FC. Alas, athletic-minded travelers will have to reach into their wallets and pull out $10 for a sweat. It's worth the dough because FC is an above average facility and Springhill's in-house gym is hardly that (a tiny room with 3 cardio machines and an old multigym).
