Hilton's central downtown location, adjacent to the Salt Palace Convention Center, is also convenient to other Salt Lake City attractions including Temple Square, the Delta Center and most important, to our off-site workout options! Hilton's accommodations are standard, but that also means nice. Expect the basic bed, desk and armoire, comfortable but nothing special.
Management deserves kudos for its generous investment in its fitness center. Large windows surround the 2nd story, black-floored room located next to Hilton's pool. Thankfully, the glass walls separating the exercise area from the recreational water box keep out chlorinated air and humidity. Sweat-aholics will be pleased to find a decent mix of newer cardio and strength machines with treadmills, bikes and stack-loaded weight machines as best prospects. All apparatus are in good condition.
Swimmers have no lapper, despite Hilton's claim otherwise (it's too short and has no lines). Those looking for a legitimate pool will need to drive 5 minutes to the JCC.
Joggers should consider an outdoor jaunt along one of our recommended routes.
