Hot Yoga Santa Fe is located off Cerrillos Road (exit 278 from I-25) less than 3 miles South of the Plaza. (And just a little bit south of the Whole Foods, also on Cerrillos.) The studio is behind Super Sound (electronics store) and is slightly hidden from the road, so use the tire store as your landmark. Parking is available in the shared parking lot and on the street, if necessary. The studio offers 60 and 90 Bikram classes as well as 90 minute Yin Yoga classes, which are not heated and are suitable for all levels.
Single visits are $18, mat rentals $2, towel rental $2, and water $2. The practice room's flooring is made of rubber. Keep in mind that while there are changing rooms and restrooms here, there are NO showers. Also, we understand that this studio is not as hard core as some, but keep in mind that at 7,000 feet elevation, you'll feel it!
We suggest drinking plenty of water and not eating 3 to 4 hours prior to arriving. New students will want to show up at least fifteen minutes ahead of time. Check the website for class schedule and more information, but unless there is a holiday, classes are offered daily with the earliest beginning at 7a and the latest at 6p.
ABOUT BIKRAM YOGA:
Bikram Yoga welcomes beginners. This 90 minute class consists of 26 beginning postures and is conducted in a hot room (approx. 110 degrees) with, hopefully, high humidity. But don't be fooled into thinking beginning means easy - it doesn't! Iron men and couch potatoes, alike, have found themselves floored in "dead man's pose" just minutes into this challenging workout. You don't have to be strong or flexible or in excellent shape to do this yoga - you simply have to be willing. What we also really like about Bikram's is that every studio teaches the same sequence of postures so you always know you're going to get a full-body workout, a great benefit for travelers.
