This organic salad bistro is a find for those looking to fill up on high quality salads, soups and sandwiches. The ingredients here are fresh off the farm and salad lovers are going to go nuts over this menu. The fact that the restaurant is very environmentally friendly is an added plus. The décor is simple and chic with a mosaic tile bar, light wood tables and floors, bright orange chairs and light walls. It is full service here, but you can also sit at the bar or get the food for take-out.
The heart and soul of this place is the entrée salad--music to athletic-minded ears! There are ten "signature salads" and seven "classics". No matter your salad choice, you can add all sorts of goodies including meat (chicken, flank steak, pork tenderloin, duck confit), seafood (seared tuna steak, diver scallops, grilled shrimp, daily fresh fish), and odds & ends (roasted veggies, grilled tofu, grilled baby artichokes, panko crusted goad cheese). Examples of the salad options include French frisee, spinach & mushroom, arugula with dried cherries, feta and toasted pecan, "the nutty professor" with grilled pears, bacon, mixed greens and pecans and Greek. Other eats include sandwiches (hot turkey, tuna melt, Cuban torta, Reuben and roasted veggies), mac & cheese, sauteed greens, mushroom stew and daily soup.
