I'm barely into the second week of 2009, and my New Year's resolutions are already as dusty as the 2008 calendar still hanging on the wall. What's the problem? As a personal trainer, I should have this resolution thing down by now!

Brussels South (Midi/Zuid) Railway Station

We're in the midst of prepping our Brussels city content for the site and I thought I'd post a quick tip for train-riding tourists to this town:

I stayed in a hotel on the south side of Brussels and hopped aboard a train that took me to Brussels Central (Bruxelles Centraal) station--about a 5-minute ride. Inside the large Brussels South (Midi/Zuid) terminal, television screens showing route details hang from the ceiling at the bottom of escalators that zip riders up to separate platforms.

Over the past few years (and after thousands of bike and run miles), I've battled with a mild case of Restless Leg Syndrome. Typically for me, it presents at night, when I'm in bed and just dozing off. Suddenly, this difficult to describe tingling/spasm feeling pierces my leg around the knee causing a jerky, unconscious reflex of my entire leg. Only my right leg is affected.

Healthy Halloween

I learn something new each time I travel

You'd think that given the amount we (as The Team) travel, that we'd have things pretty much figured out, and there wouldn't be any surprises. Think again.

1. Don't bring ice packs -- unless it's for medicine or breast milk On our last trip to Chicago, we traveled as a family -- meaning our 2 year old was in tow. For the 4 hour plane ride I packed a cold case with her lunch and snacks, and to keep it all fresh I also included 2 ice packs. That was a no-no. Both ice packs were confiscated.

Quick tip for staying healthy and maximizing your dollar
